Editorial Policy

Every claim on this site should be checkable by you, without taking our word for anything.

Sourcing

Prices, package sizes, shipping charges, guarantee terms and ingredient lists come from the seller's own pages, read on a stated date. Where a figure comes from somewhere other than the seller, we label it and say where it came from.

Research claims cite the specific study, by PubMed identifier, linked. We don't write "studies show" without naming the study.

Accuracy over completeness

If we can't verify something, we say we couldn't, rather than filling the gap with a plausible guess. A missing number is information too.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it on the page and say what changed, with the date, under the byline. We don't quietly edit and move on.

We don't change a URL after publishing. If an article needs replacing, the old address redirects permanently to the new one.

Updating

We update a review when a fact changes, not on a schedule. Re-dating a page that hasn't changed tells you nothing and we won't do it. Every page shows when it was last verified and what moved.

Language

We attribute health claims to whoever made them. A seller saying their product "fights erectile dysfunction" is reported as the seller's claim, never as a finding. We describe ingredients as "studied for" or "traditionally used for", never as treatments.

Tell us we're wrong

If a price has moved, a label has changed, or we've made an error, write to us and we'll check it and correct the page.
